Public bids

what are

Public bids

Bidding is the administrative procedure for contracting products and services. The agencies follow the guidelines of the most advantageous and fair proposals.

The most common categories are: face-to-face trading, electronic trading, invitation letter, price registration, accreditation, price taking, competition and dismissal. For each, there are different rules and laws. The public biddings are an economic niche, called the Government Market that shows the importance of the State in the economy. Public tenders in general have an average annual expenditure ranging from 600 billion to 1 trillion reais. They also help the economic market to enable competition and social and regional development. Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world in terms of population and extension and the 8th richest. All of this shows the importance of the public market and the possibilities for foreigners to participate in international bidding for this continental-sized giant.
